Country Chickens Bluegrass Band

I Country Chickens Bluegrass Band nascono nel 1982 da un’idea di alcuni amici appassionati di musica Bluegrass. Lo spettacolo dei Chickens è un assieme di brani tradizionali Bluegrass e composizioni più moderne arrangiate e suonate coinvolgendo il pubblico con gag spiritose ed irriverenza nei confronti del genere musicale stesso. Durante i loro concerti, appare evidente che lo spirito che anima la band nasce da un’amicizia profonda che dura da ormai 35 anni e che non c’è mai la ricerca della performance fine a se stessa, ma solo del divertimento puro. A partire dal 1982 la formazione è  rimasta la stessa ad eccezione del chitarrista ed oggi è così composta:

Eugenio Poppi – Voce, Dobro, chitarra acustica
Massimo Cavazzuti: Voce, Mandolino
Carlo Bergamini: voce, contrabbasso
Paolo Cattani: voce, chitarra acustica
Stefano Tassi: 5 strings banjo

The Country Chickens Bluegrass Band was born in 1982 due to few friends idea. The band show it’s a composition of traditional songs and modern songs arranged and played involving the audience through funny gags and making fun of the Bluegrass music. Watching their show, is immediately clear that friendship is the main driver of the show due to the very long last of 35 years. The band never search the technical high performances, but only fun and not care anyway. Since 1982 the band have never changed members, exception of the guitar player. Band members:
